In the chapter on â€Å"spirituality and the present climate†, Leech through observing the ‘Spiritual Quest of Youth’ concludes that the modernists and the post-war decades fell into a spiritual search in the 1960s. However, the spiritual search almost rejected Christianity as a possibility. It was frequently argued at that time that â€Å"the future of humanity was ‘non-religious’ that society was secularized.† (p.2) Leech comments that alongside this rejection of traditional
